When God breathes His life into someone, it transforms them. Out of death comes life. Out of despair comes hope. God’s breath revives, renews, and ultimately brings life to what was once dead.
In the Bible, the prophet Ezekiel had a vision. He saw a valley full of dead, dry bones, but God’s breath brought new life. Through Resurrection Sunday, we will be studying through Ezekiel 37 and its message for us regarding new life.
We are passionate about continually seeking after God for His breath of life on our church and community. Join the pursuit. Then on Easter Sunday, celebrate the Resurrection’s meaning for renewed life that gives new life.

Life is filled with pressure and stress. At work and at home, we feel like we have to perform to measure up, to make ends meet, and to please people.
Often, we transfer this thinking to our relationship with God and think our performance gains His acceptance.
But God loves us just as we are. What makes Christianity unique among world religions is that God’s people are the recipients of His undeserved grace and mercy, our great distinctives.
The Bible teaches that God’s grace cannot be earned. Sin should earn us judgment; but God doesn’t give us what we deserve. That’s His mercy. Instead, He gives us what we don’t deserve. We are accepted and loved deeply in Christ. That’s God’s grace.
Journey through three stories from the life of Jesus to learn more about what it means to be still and know our God, the One who is rich in grace and mercy.

We are all going to be audited someday ... and not by an auditor, but by the God of the universe. The King of kings and Lord of lords and the “Auditor of auditors.”
We’ll not be evaluated on the accuracy of our financial statements. However, we will have to give an account for how we used the time and resources that God has provided us while here on this earth.
We will look at our accounts and at some specific teachings of Jesus Christ. Through them we will connect what He is saying to us about the reality of giving an account before God someday.
This is “Accounts.”

Fire is a popular symbol for passion. We can be fiery and passionate about various things: family, friends, work, sports. But going through the motions of a seemingly mundane and routine existence can gradually extinguish our zeal.
A renewed sense of purpose for that which is worthy to be passionate about can again IGNITE that zeal. So whether your fire has been snuffed out, is barely flickering, or currently ablaze, connect with us at Cuyahoga Valley Church. We’re kicking off 2011 with a teaching series focused on personal spiritual growth as we endeavor to IGNITE our passion for the One who invites us to live passionately – Jesus Christ.
Join us for Ignite!

Joy: a universal concept in any language. But what really is joy? A feeling or state of mind?
How do you get it, then keep it? Can you buy it?
This Christmas season at CVC, we’ll be celebrating God’s gift of joy through the birth of Jesus.
Join us for Joy.
