The following self-assessment is based on the questions Pastor Dean Siley asked in his message on Titus 3:8–11.
Dean’s questions invite us to look honestly at our spiritual lives, not to shame ourselves, but to recognize where God’s grace is already at work and where He may be inviting us to grow.
The goal isn’t to achieve a perfect score or compare ourselves with someone else. Jesus has already done what we could never do to save us.
This is a grace-oriented spiritual self-assessment, not a scorecard for earning God’s favor. Don’t ask, “How good am I?” but ask, “Where is God’s grace at work in me, and where is He inviting me to grow?”
As you reflect, rate each statement from 1–10, with 1 = rarely true of me and 10 = consistently true of me.
Don’t use your score to condemn yourself. Use it as an invitation to prayer, repentance, growth, and greater dependence upon God’s transforming grace.

- ___ I am willing to surrender anything in my life that is unprofitable or worthless in light of God’s purposes.
- ___ I am attentive to the good works God places in front of me and willing to act when He gives me an opportunity to do good.
My Next Steps
After completing the assessment, don’t simply add up the numbers. Instead, ask:
- Where do I see God’s grace at work in my life?
- Where is God inviting me to grow?
- What is something unprofitable or worthless in my life that God may be asking me to surrender to Him?
- What good work might God be calling me to do that I have been neglecting?
