Are you confused about the interplay between the call of God for us to evangelize throughout all the world and the doctrine of predestination – God’s sovereignty in choosing His sons and daughters, writing our names in His Book of Life in eternity past?

For sure, I don’t fully understand it. But the command to go into all the world to preach the gospel AND the truths about predestination are both clearly taught in scripture.

We must never let the truths about divine election lessen our passion to share the Good News as widely and as effectually as possible.

We want to go to heaven and take as many people with us as we possibly can.

“I fear I am not a very good Calvinist because I pray that the Lord will save all of the elect… and then elect some more!”  C.H. Spurgeon

Election doesn’t thwart evangelistic zeal. It fuels it!

How so? We know that if we keep telling the Good News, we will eventually be telling the gospel to someone who has been chosen from the foundation of the world.

Some WILL respond!

Who will we tell today?
