Exodus 3 reveals God’s identity as the Hero of the story. His name, “I am that I am,” encapsulates His self-existence, self-sufficiency, unchanging nature, eternality, and incomprehensibility. Moses provides a model for responding to the Hero’s call: go see, listen up, show reverence, say yes, and get going. Even in times of delayed deliverance, we can trust that God is working for His glory and our eternal good.
